What we do

Support that meets veterans wherever they are.

From a free store stocked like a retail shop to a five-week course in post-traumatic growth, every program is built to restore dignity — not hand out charity.

Every program at ETS is free to veterans and their immediate families, and most run out of the Veterans Resource & Empowerment Center in south Minneapolis. You don't need an appointment to belong here — you just need to walk in the door.

The programs

Six ways we show up.

Free Supply Store

Shop free, with dignity

Set up like a real store, minus the price tags. Veterans and immediate family shop monthly for clothing, hygiene, blankets, boots, and coats.

Classes & Groups

Show up, connect

Weekly classes and peer groups inside the VREC — recovery, skills, creativity, and fellowship. No experience required.

Warrior's Return

A five-week climb

A course for veterans pursuing post-traumatic growth — building character, keeping agreements, and becoming the best version of themselves.

Pop-Smoke

Signal for support

A simple pathway that connects veterans and their families to the right resources and providers — fast.

Fitness Center

Train, free

Cardio, rowing, a smith machine, free weights, and yoga mats — open weekdays in the VREC, no membership required.

Veteran Internship

A paid runway to work

A 6–12 month paid position with weekly life- and career-coaching, building toward full-time employment.

Who's eligible

Most ETS services are for veterans and their immediate family members, and require proof of veteran status (a DD‑214, VA card, or military ID). Not sure if you qualify or where to start? Pop smoke and we'll help.

No one gets left behind

Your gift puts these programs to work.

Every dollar keeps the store stocked, the classes running, and the doors open and free for the veterans who count on them.
