Classes & Groups

Show up. Connect.

The hardest part is walking through the door. After that, you're among people who get it.

Inside the VREC

Connection, on the calendar.

Isolation is one of the heaviest weights a veteran carries home. Our classes and groups exist to lift it — a standing reason to show up, learn something, and be around people who understand.

Sessions run throughout the week at the Veterans Resource & Empowerment Center. Some are skill-building, some are creative, some are simply about fellowship over a cup of coffee at Rick's Coffee Bar. No skill or commitment required — just a willingness to walk in.

Peer Support

Veteran-to-veteran groups where the only requirement is honesty. What's said in the room stays in the room.

Coffee & Connection

Low-key fellowship at Rick's Coffee Bar — show up, grab a cup, and let conversation do the rest.

Skills & Tech Help

Practical sessions on the everyday things — phones, paperwork, job tools, and getting unstuck.

Recovery Support

A steady, judgment-free space for veterans working a path through addiction and recovery.

Creative & Hands-On

Art, building, and making — because purpose often starts with using your hands again.

Wellness & Movement

Yoga, stretching, and mobility sessions that pair naturally with the fitness center upstairs.

Offerings rotate. Call (952) 356-5116 or stop by for the current weekly schedule.

The ETS fitness center
Upstairs at the VREC

The fitness center.

Physical training was part of the routine in uniform. Keeping it doesn't have to cost a membership.

The ETS fitness center is open to veterans Monday through Friday, 10am–3pm. Inside you'll find cardio equipment, a rowing machine, a smith machine, free weights, and yoga mats — everything you need for a solid session, free of charge.
